My name is Toni Bratincevic, I was born in 1977 in the central European country Croatia in town called Split. During my first 20 years I lived in a small town next to Split called Kastel Sucurac. Since a very young age I was always passionate about computer generated art. I remember seeing some of the first rendered images on Amiga 500 computer that my friend had, those were the moments when I started realizing what I wanted to do in my life. I learning 3D with 3D Studio 2.0 on 486 PC when I was 17 years old. During that time I had black and white monitor and I remember running to my friends place to see my images in color, I was just guessing what colors to use on my home computer. Later, from 1998-2002 I started using public domain render engine POVRay with which I produced dozens of images. The reason I decided to learn POVRay was that it was one of the rare raytracing engines of that time and because of raytracing I was able to produce some very realistic images.

Since my parents were not able to afford a good university for art outside of Croatia, I decided to go to university for IT located in a beautiful city of Varazdin. During that time, parallel to studying, in my free time I was constantly learning and improving my 3Dskills, sometimes staying up even until 4pm in the morning to absorb every bit of information I needed. That passion and commitment in the end resulted in me having a good career later in life, working for some of the best companies from USA and Croatia.

Currently I am working for Blizzard Entertainment as a 3D Generalist/Environment Artist. My role is Principal Digimatte artist, but I primarily create 3D environments these days without many projections or paintings. Blizzard is a amazing company to work for, I've been here for more than 9 years, and in that time meet some of the most talented artist in the world. Working in the environment where you are constantly inspired is a great thing for every artist and is one of the best way to improve your skills.
